How and when to book:

Quietude is a very popular choice and is "great value for money", e.g.. for 2008 out of our 24 week rental period (May-November), we were booked with guests for all 24 weeks. Unfortunately the weather limits the weeks and periodically it is impossible to cater for all requests. We generally start taking bookings for the following year in about June and for early bookings we give the current year price. To ensure your choice period we recommend you book before December.

Villa Details:

The details and photographs we display on our web site are taken by me, the Villa owner. We try to ensure that these are up to date and accurate but they should be used as a guide only - we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy as season, improvements, decor and furnishings in the Villa change as we see fit.

Deposit:

A deposit of £100 is required when booking Quietude. As soon as this deposit is received, your booking will be confirmed. The balance of the rental cost will be required 2 months prior to your rental period commencing. Bookings made within 2 months of your vacation commencing require the full amount to be paid when the reservation is made. Payment can be made by cheque or bankers draft in GB pounds. We can also accept payments via Paypal plus any additional PayPal charges.

Cancellation:

Should a cancellation be necessary then your deposit will not be returned unless we manage to fill the vacancy. Should the cancellation occur after the balance has been paid then the full amount will be lost. We strongly advise you to take out some form of travel/trip insurance as soon as your booking is confirmed - this should cover any cancellations for reasons beyond your control.

Special Requests:

Special request are not guaranteed, however we will always do our best to comply with these provided they are made in advance of your departure.

Pool:

Please note that the swimming pool is a free facility included along with the Villa you are renting. The Pool is fitted with gates leading to the pool - this is for the safety of you and your guests, especially young children. It is your responsibility to ensure they are closed at all times.

BBQ's:

A BBQ is provided.

Occupancy:

Quietude is usually ready for occupancy from 12:00 noon on the day of arrival and needs to be vacated by 10:00 am unless you have a late departure.We will confirm with you the latest time you may occupy the Villa until, if this is at all possible. This time will depend on incoming clients flight times and availability of the maid.

Maintenance:

All breakages, accidents, problems and losses must be reported to the owners as soon as they occur so that they can be attended to. As with any home appliances they will, from time to time, malfunction and may need repair or replacement - we will do our best to have any problem rectified as quickly as possible. Repair times may be dependent on third parties such as utility companies. Access to the rental home may be required by authorised maintenance personnel during your stay. This hardly happens but, it could.

Damages:

When renting a property you are expected to ensure that your party members act responsibly and respect the property and it's contents as you would your own home. The party leader agrees to accept full liability for all loss or damage caused by any member of their party, during the occupation of the villa and confirms that the cost of repair or replacement will be met.

Conduct:

We ask that you act in a considerate and courteous manner during your stay. We expect you to have all fun you want but we also request that this does not abuse the property.

Complaints:

Should our guests have cause for complaint in the course of the holiday, we must be notified immediately. We accept no liability in respect of complaints received after your return home that have not been brought to our attention during your stay with us.

Force Majeur:

We will not be liable for problems or delays caused by strikes, riots, political unrest, hostilities, war, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, fire, flood, tornadoes, hurricanes, transportation problems, airport closures, weather conditions or any other event beyond our immediate control. We suggest that you take out adequate travel insurance to cover such eventualities.

Liability:

In the event of any problems whatsoever the total liability will be limited to the rental amount paid by the client.

Pets:

Pets are not permitted unless you have prior consent from us. This is primarily out of consideration for future guests who may suffer from allergies or other pet related illnesses.

Included:

The rental of Quietude includes the electricity, water, maid service three times a week, the use of the pool, and surrounding garden.

Not Included:

Food and beverage, personal laundry, cars and transportation or electricity for Air Conditioning. These services will be provided at an additional charge.

General Points:

Swimming pools are great fun and few people would choose a holiday home without one. Most people are not used to a home pool but they are an obvious source of DANGER especially for young children. We cannot accept any liability whatsoever for any mishap caused as a result of the swimming pool in the Villa. You are particularly advised NEVER to allow children to use the pool unsupervised and to keep the gate closed.
